These instructions are provided to help you to set up a new device for your EXISTING Duo account.
Use these instructions if you get a new phone and need to re-activate the Duo for login to IUPAT resources
These instructions assume that your mobile device’s phone number has not changed.
Steps
On a computer that has access to the Internet, go to the following website:
You will see the Okta login screen, similar to the following:
Enter in your email address (usually first initial, last name @iupat.org, for example – jsmith@iupat.org).
Enter in your network password – this is the same password you use to log in to your IUPAT laptop.
NOTE: If your network password has expired, you will need to contact the helpdesk for assistance. You cannot complete this process if your password is already expired.
Click Sign In to continue.
Click My Settings & Devices to continue.
Duo will want to verify your identity.
If it automatically sends you a push, click Cancel and then Dismiss.
Click Enter a Passcode to continue.
Click Text me new codes and wait for the code to be texted to your phone.
Type in the code you receive via text and click Log In to continue.
Click on the blue gear button to the right of your mobile phone..
Click Reactivate Duo Mobile to start the set-up process for your mobile device.
Duo will want to verify that you have the mobile device with you.
Click Text me to receive another code.
Type the code that you receive into the box at step 2 (see image) and click Verify.
Then click Continue.
Choose the type of phone you have and click Continue.
You will see instructions on installing the Duo app for your specific type of device.
Once you have Duo installed, or if you already have it installed, click I have Duo Mobile to continue.
Open the Duo app on your device
Select Use QR Code
Scan the barcode on your screen using your mobile device.
When you see the green check mark, scroll down and click Continue
At the bottom of the Duo window on the laptop click Back to sign in.
